Terms of use

Campernest, published by HSLP, helps people travelling by caravan, motorhome and campervan to find a campsite suited to their vehicle and to plan their journey. With Winter storage, it also puts travellers in touch with people who offer a space to store their vehicle over the winter. The website and the Nester account are free of charge.

Your account is personal and reserved for people aged 15 and over. You choose a username, which is public: it must not use your full name or anyone else’s, be offensive, or imitate Campernest or a campsite.

You are responsible for access to your email address, which is used to sign in.

Your genuine experience: reviews of a campsite you have stayed at, photos you have taken, measurements, access reports with your vehicle, questions and answers, corrections to information.

You may not publish:

• offensive, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory or violent remarks;
• fake reviews, reviews of your own business or a competitor’s, or reviews that are paid for or given in exchange for a benefit;
• photos you did not take yourself, or in which a person can be recognised without their consent, especially a child;
• personal information about other people (name, telephone number, number plate, etc.);
• advertising, commercial links or repeated messages;
• any content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of a third party.

Your contributions go live immediately, without prior checks. Campernest may afterwards hide or delete a contribution that does not comply with these terms or appears to be false; any XP and trophies earned through it are then withdrawn.

In the event of serious or repeated breaches, the account may be suspended or deleted, after a warning except in urgent cases.

Every Nester can report false information or inappropriate content using the “Report” button. Reports are reviewed by Campernest. You can also write to hello@campernest.eu.

You remain the owner of your texts and photos. By publishing them, you grant Campernest, free of charge and worldwide, the right to reproduce, display, adapt (cropping, translation) and distribute them on the website, its apps and its social media accounts, credited with your username, for as long as they remain published.

You confirm that you are the author of what you publish and that you have the right to share it. You remain responsible for your contributions.

Winter storage is a service that puts people in touch, free of charge and with no commitment, for both parties. Campernest does not rent anything, does not take any payment and does not look after vehicles: the agreement (dates, price, payment, condition report, insurance) is made directly between the host and the Nester, under their sole responsibility. It is the rental of a space, not a custody service, unless the host undertakes to provide one.

The host undertakes to describe their space honestly (type, dimensions, access, price), to have the right to offer it (ownership, lease, planning rules, insurance) and, where applicable, to declare the income they earn from it.

The Nester remains responsible for their vehicle: check its insurance during the winter storage, visit the space and carry out a condition report before leaving it.

Messages are for organising the winter storage: no canvassing, no payment beyond what was agreed, no requests for bank details. Anyone can report a message or a listing; Campernest then reads the conversation and may hide the listing or suspend the account.

A review can only be left by a Nester whose request was accepted, one per request.

A listing may be entered by Campernest at the host's request; the host remains responsible for it and can change or remove it at any time.

XP and trophies reward your contributions. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged and do not entitle you to anything in return. The way they are awarded may change.

You can delete your account at any time in “My account”. Your photos are then erased; your other contributions (reviews, answers, access reports, flags) remain published but become anonymous, without your username.

The tools give indicative results, in the form of ranges. They do not replace official regulations, your vehicle’s documents or professional advice: you alone remain responsible for loading and driving your vehicle.

Campsite information comes from public sources, from campsites and from Nesters; it may be incomplete or out of date. Please confirm it with the campsite before you set off.

These terms may change; in the event of a significant change, Nesters will be notified by email or the next time they sign in.

They are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, please write to us first so that we can find an amicable solution; failing that, the matter may be brought before the competent courts.
